KURA has performed exemplary well in the 2010/2011 Performance Contracting whose results were released on Monday 26th March, 2012 in the presence of H.E. President Mwai Kibaki and the Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga. He said KURA was ranked 58th position from 178 state Corporations with a performance rating of ‘VERY GOOD’ with a composite score of 2.2957. This was a great improvement from 2009/2010 when KURA was ranked 85th position out of 162 state corporations entered in the year with a composite score of 2.4199.
In the Financial Sector category KURA was ranked position 4 behind Industrial and Commercial Development Corporation (score 2.2353), Agricultural Finance Corporation (score 2.2397) and Kenya Revenue Authority (score 2.2434). This was remarkable achievement and the Director General thanked the staff for their commitment to work and teamwork.

The Director General thanked the staff for their commitment and discipline saying the good performance should serve as an encouragement and a boost to our efforts to be a global leader in the provision and management of urban road network as envisaged in vision. He urged staff to aim at excellence saying two years into the performance contracting circle has shown that KURA has the capacity to excel beyond expectations.
Eng. Nkadayo thanked the Board of Directors for their continued support and cooperation. He said the performance goes a long way to maintain public confidence in our capacity to efficiently develop, manage, rehabilitate, and maintain road infrastructure in the country.
